Christopher Paunil is a Toronto-based luxury contemporary womenswear and bridal brand. Paunil loves to mix unconventional with traditional fabrics as a foundation to his distinct design techniques, resulting in classic yet beautifully modern styles.
Paunil, with a background in fashion design and business lead Chalo Hancock, who comes from project management were an unlikely pairing when the brand formed in 2010. However, these best friends sought to create quality custom bridal for strong women. Fast-forward to 2013-14, they launched their ready-to-wear collection and Kleinfeld, made famous on TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” made their move to Canada with Hudson’s Bay Company. Picking up the Christopher Paunil Bridal label, Kleinfeld brides continue to say I do to the Canadian as the label, now in their fourth season with the retailer. A go-to fave for celebs at the Toronto International Film Festival with sights set on international growth this is a brand poised for great things to come.
